Scout Camp at Adventure Park

Last weekend was scout camp for 11-year old "New Scouts." Brian Borough, the other scoutmaster, and I took up two kids to the camp - Eli and John. We had a great time.

My favorite part was having the tin foil dinners. They had hamburger, carrots, potatoes, and onions. I usually don't like onions, but I grilled them up before we left so they were really good. They had a bunch of neat classes like knots, axeyard, lashings, first aid, hiking, etc.

Saturday morning we went on a 5.5 mile hike. For a while I was walking too fast so I was all alone. It was very peaceful to be out in the "middle of nowhere" and enjoy the scenery. It's the kind of experience that is good to have every once and a while, and then after about an hour of that you're ready to go back to civilization and you start to get scared that you're lost! haha

I've attached a bunch of pictures from the camp.
