Supposed "Emergency"

For anyone that doesn't know, I have some of the cutest nieces in the world. Seriously. You can't get any cuter than this. Want an example? How about a few?

A bunch of my family was hanging out until pretty late at my house a couple weeks ago so my sister Sharon decided to put her little girl Alex to bed at our house. Now because kids will use almost any excuse to get out of bed at night, my sister Sharon has made a "no getting out of bed unless it is an emergency" policy. Of course kids end up having their own interpretations of such policies. This night, for example, Alex came upstairs after several minutes with a very serious emergency... she had forgotten to give everyone a hug. How can you say no to something so cute! Just look at her too (above), she is so darling!

Also, one day she happened to see an ant with wings. "What is this mommy?" "It's an ant that has wings", my sister responded. Alex asked why the ant had wings, and my sister replied that Jesus made them like that. My niece kind of just stared for a minute, then went off on her little way to play. Several minutes later my sister heard her telling her toys "Silly Jesus, ants don't have wings".

My sister in law went into the bathroom one day and discovered one of her girls taking a bit of a bath in the sink. Where do they come up with these ideas?

She has also discovered that her new little brother's things are a lot more interesting than her own toys...

Her sister Sophie is trying to follow in her dad's footsteps...and at such a young age! Anyone need a new pediatrician?

So many more cute things they (along with all my other nieces) do, just don't have any pics that depict them. And what's a blog without some good pics?

Kids really are the greatest! I LOVE the "Silly Jesus" story!

Oh, and thanks by the way for helping me out with Loren in R.S. when she started to get a little fussy before and during the prayer. Sometimes it really just takes an extra pair of motherly hands....even for just ONE child!

I love the pics! I have never seen such beautiful children!!! They must have some Bartlett genes in them! Sophie asks about staying at your house with Alex all the time. I told her maybe when we go back to visit. She talks about the "clubhouse"!
