All bugs are friends to little kids

This little guy was walking around with something in his hand for several minutes the other day. I didn't think much of it until he came up to me and said "bug". I glanced down and was a bit surprised.

He was holding a wasp (at least I think that is what a wasp looks like)! I quickly, and as calmly as I could mutter, told him that bees were for looking at, not for touching.

So that's what we did the next ten minutes. We watched the wasp. Well, he watched the wasp and I watched him closely to make sure he didn't grab at its stinger.

No way, Noah used to be scared of flies and now, oh man, I wish he would still so I didn't have to worry about him picking up bugs. Scary and gross!

Joshua must have had some sort of magical calming effect on the wasp! What a miracle he wasn't stung!
