Richard's New Trees

My dad tore down all the HUGE trees that used to surround his backyard and put up some smaller trees which hopefully won't end up breaking like his previous ones with the heavy amounts of snow he gets each year.

It was a lot of work. I did a little, my dad, James, brother Mike and brother in law Bill did most of the work.

This picture only shows half of the trees.

Some time at the playground

Sharon and I took the kids out to eat one night and had a few minutes to spare before bedtime so we decided to take them to the park. It was March and still a bit chilly so we had the playground to ourselves.

Alex had fun pushing the boys on the swings

This was Liam's first time on a swing and he loved it, obviously.

It got pretty chilly!

I took Jacob down this big slide because Joshua wouldn't go down with me and Jacob was too little to say "no".

Jacob and Liam

Here are some cute photos of Jacob and his cousin, Liam, who is 4 months younger than Jacob. Can you tell which photos were taken with my camera and Sharon's amazing camera?

Although Jacob is 4 months younger than Liam, they have around the same stomach abilities. I wouldn't be surprised if Liam crawls first!

Recent fun activities with Joshua

We've been trying to have one on one special time with Joshua since Jacob was born. Here's James at the Dinosaur Museum with him.

And here we are at Provo Beach Resort (which is really fun if you haven't been there yet).

And here he is with his cousins that had a sleepover while their parents went out for their anniversary.

Joshua's Music Class

Joshua has been going to a music class for the last couple months. He loves it! He doesn't always participate in class, but he at least has a smile on his face and he often wants me to do the things from music class with him throughout the week.

Classes start up again in the summer if you are interested. Orem Family Music Studios.

Jacob has enjoyed listening and watching during music class.

High School Friends

My friend Rachel came into town in February so we got together with our other friend Andrea to have a little High School Reunion. Too bad Ruth wasn't able to make it over from Missouri (randomly Rachel and her now live by each other in Missouri!).

Here we are several months before.

Joshua's First Time Bowling

James and I thought it would be fun to take the boys bowling. We foolishly bought two games (hey, there was a coupon!) and ended up having to leave after the first one since Joshua's patience was shot. He did have fun most of the first game and we were able to give our other game to a couple on a date next to us so it didn't seem like such a loss.

I was so worried that he was going to drop the ball on his foot.  Apparently James wasn't as worried since he kept letting Joshua carry the ball.

Joshua looks so cute with bowling shoes on. I couldn't stop looking at him and smiling.

I somehow managed to get three strikes in a row. I'd like to say it was skill, but I'm afraid luck may have been slightly involved.

We buzzed it off

That's right. We buzzed Jacob's head. Multiple times actually. It was really hard for me to do because I LOVE baby hair and once it is cut, it is never the same. But he was really starting to look a little silly (some people say cute, but I think they likely are just trying to be nice). You see, not only does his hair pretty much only grow on top of his head, but it is thicker and darker.

There was no combing over in this picture. This really is how it was.

He has a strong cowlick to go along with it.

His hair continues to grow mainly just on top and we continue to buzz it time and time again. I can only imagine what it would look like by now if we didn't cut it (BTW, hair does not grow faster if you cut it). Seriously, I'm really curious. Would he have hair stringing down from the top of his head all the way down to his shoulders by now?

Christmas 2010 - Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

POSTS FROM TODAY ARE OLD EVENTS AND PICTURES THAT I AM NOW POSTING. I KNOW. A LOT AT ONE TIME!

Merry Christmas! Joshua with Santa at Pioneer Village.
James' extended family had a Christmas get together at Mutual Dell.

We acted out Christ's birth for the Rowell extended family.

Jacob was baby Jesus. The while blanket he is lying on is actually from Jerusalem.

Opening presents at the Rowell Grandparent's house. We also had our shepard's party this day.  James' mom is wearing her Jerusalem clothing in this picture.

Jacob's Christmas outfit. He is almost 6 months old.

Joshua played with cars at the Fowler's house most of Christmas. He drove every one of  those cars down the ramp into a pile

Fowler family and extended family with our kids and Marcus.

Joshua got a car....

and a basketball hoop from us for Christmas.

Cute cousins playing together.

Alex and Jacob.

We, the adults, opened our presents Christmas night after the kids went to bed.
